Taren Vollstedt

Taren Vollstedt is currently completing her Bachelor's degree in Sport and Performance at the German Sport University Cologne, which she is expected to finish in September 2026. Her academic focus lies at the intersection of sport science, performance, and psychological factors influencing athletic success.

As part of her studies, Taren is working with Sylvain Laborde, gaining practical and research experience in the field of psychophysiology, especially heart rate variability (HRV). She is particularly interested in how physiological and psychological processes interact to optimize performance, recovery, and overall well-being.

She is passionate about supporting individuals—especially athletes—through a holistic approach that promotes both physical and mental health in the long term. During her studies, she has developed a strong theoretical foundation in anatomy, movement science, and athlete support, which she aims to further strengthen through practical experience.

Alongside her academic work, she is an active field hockey player competing at a high level. Through her own sporting career, she has gained valuable insights into rehabilitation processes and injury prevention, recognizing the importance of individualized care and a holistic approach for successful recovery and performance development.

Her long-term goal is to support athletes and teams through an integrative approach that combines physiological monitoring, emotional intelligence, and individualized training and rehabilitation strategies.
