Manal Saidat
She is a Master's student in Human Physiology & Pathophysiology at the Faculty of Medicine & Pharmacy, Abdelmalek Essaâdi University (Morocco). Her Master's thesis, "Acute Effects of Breathing Techniques on Autonomic Regulation and Cognitive Performance: The Role of CO₂ Modulation and Oxygenation Responses," investigates how breathing-based interventions influence cognitive performance, self-regulation, and stress adaptation through autonomic and respiratory mechanisms.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sylvain Laborde, within the Institute of Performance Psychology, she contributes to research in psychophysiology and performance psychology. Her work includes a spirometry-based experimental study examining the effects of controlled breathing patterns on psychological states and performance-related outcomes, as well as participation in seminars on emotional intelligence and applied psychological regulation.
In parallel, she contributes to the HEMO-ISO project at the Institute for Circulatory Research and Sports Medicine of the German Sport University Cologne, focusing on physiological regulation processes in applied sport and clinical research settings.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of psychophysiology, performance psychology, and integrative physiology, with a particular focus on self-regulation, breathing interventions, autonomic function, and stress adaptation in both performance and clinical populations.
