Celina Globke
B. Sc. Sport and Performance

Celina Sophie Globke is currently in her fifth semester of the B.Sc. in Sport and Performance at the German Sport University Cologne. As a passionate track and field athlete, she competes in combined events and individual disciplines, particularly discus throw.
Her experiences in training and competition have sparked her interest in the psychological factors influencing athletic performance. She has experienced how confidence and concentration affect performance under pressure, while external stressors can interfere with mental preparation. To manage these challenges, she uses mental training strategies such as pre-competition routines, visualization, and positive self-talk. Combined with the knowledge gained through her studies, these experiences have strengthened her interest in performance psychology.
At HRV LABorde, within the Performance Psychophysiology group led by Prof. Dr. Dr. Sylvain Laborde, Celina aims to deepen her understanding of the interaction between psychological and physiological processes. She is particularly interested in how heart rate variability (HRV) can contribute to understanding stress regulation and athletic performance. During her internship, she hopes to gain practical experience in scientific research, explore physiological assessment methods, and develop her skills in research methodology and scientific communication.
Alongside her studies and athletic career, Celina occasionally coaches at sports camps. In the future, she hopes to combine her interests in sport, psychology, and coaching to support young athletes and contribute to both well-being and athletic performance.
