İpek Pektaş

İpek Pektaş is currently in the 4th year of her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at TOBB University of Economics and Technology in Ankara, Türkiye, and is expected to complete her degree in April 2027. As part of her undergraduate studies, she joined the HRV LABorde through the Erasmus+ traineeship programme to complete her mandatory internship and gain international research experience in the fields of exercise and sport psychology.

From an early age, she has had a strong interest in volleyball and remains actively involved in the sport, currently serving as a referee affiliated with the Turkish Volleyball Federation. Her experiences within competitive sport have further strengthened her interest in sport psychology, particularly in understanding how individuals regulate their psychological and physiological responses to performance demands, pressure, and media exposure. During her internship, she aims to explore how psychophysiological measures such as heart rate variability (HRV) can help understand the interaction between stress, emotional regulation, and performance, and how the individual physiological responses may shape the ability to adapt to stress and maintain performance under pressure. Alongside the lab's scientific research activities and data collection, she is also contributing to its design, digital processes, allowing her to gain experience in both the research and communication aspects of the field.
