Kilian Kober

Kilian is a sports science researcher from Cologne, Germany. He is currently completing his bachelor's degree in Sports and Performance, is collaborating on the Cologne HRV Test Battery, and is writing his bachelor's thesis on this topic.

His thesis focuses on the reactivity of heart rate variability when exposed to various stressors, depending on the level of physical activity. Additionally, differences between men and women regarding this research question are being examined.

From October 2025 to October 2026, Kilian will examine the relationships between heart rate variability and gender- and performance-specific differences to address existing research gaps in this field. In doing so, he draws on his experience as a licensed cross-country skiing coach and aspiring personal trainer to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
